OpenStreetMap MiniParty Amsterdam

osm_centrum_amsterdam_mrt08Next Saturday, March 8th, Café SKEK will be the venue for a new type of OpenStreetMap event – at least for the Netherlands – a thematic MiniParty. OpenStreetMap-volunteers will gather to add hotels, restaurants and pubs in the Amsterdam city centre to the free world map. When the tourists start pouring into the city starting Easter, they will have OpenStreetMap available as a dependable guide for places to eat, drink and stay.Feel free and welcome to join the effort – GPS devices and experienced OpenStreetMap folk will be at your disposal – or just have a look and a drink and chat with the people behind the free world map. Café SKEK is located right in the middle of the old city centre, on Zeedijk 4-8. We will be there from 2pm.Have a look at the wiki for more information about OpenStreetMap, and see how Amsterdam looks on OpenStreetMap now.
