The 3D version not only requires port 80 it also only works with data that comes from the same server as the website. So hosting your data on a different (map)server doesn't work. At least not without a proxy on the ve-server.

So... did you ever get anywhere with this. I am having the same issue. It seems this should be like a "once and for all" kind of thing.

Hi there. Thanks for the kudos. With GeoServer 1.6.4, which was just released, it is now no longer necessary to edit the web.xml file to install the GeoWebCache plugin. So I guess that turns this into a 4 1/2 minute guide. :)

Morten, you're right, it's a matter of habit. I simply add the (former) 900913 projection to my epsg file in PROJ, and in MapServer it then becomes EPSG:900913, both in the map files and in the GET string.

Just for the record: 900913 has never been an EPSG code, so prefixing it with EPSG: is incorrect :-)

Brian, thanks for that. It was indeed the first thing I ran into when I tried to deserialize some sample GML using the generated class code. Sorry for the delay, your reaction ended up in my spam queue.

It was a success: two new mapping enthusiasts, and large parts of Saendelft mapped in the scorching heat. My personal contributions were lost because of a f*cked up CF card in my camera, unfortunately.
